In my continued research into post-transplant body care, I have taken the step of contacting a local personal trainer to try to help me get back into fitness. It’s been a year and a half since my operation and although I am told I am doing well, it is my belief that my stamina and general level of fitness has taken a dip since the transplant. Yes, I am not as sick as I was, but imagine having an operation and not being able to walk the next day? Then literally learning to walk again. It’s all taken a toll, and although I have tried my best, it’s now time to talk to a professional.
Please meet Mr. Paul Fletcher, Personal Trainer.

What makes me different?
Simply telling people to exercise and adopt a healthy lifestyle does not work! Change is complicated. My education and experience give me a deep insight into the mechanisms behind motivation which allows me to use psychological techniques to help make and maintain forwards momentum!
My plan to help Lucinda is to understand her motivations and design a fitness programme that will not only meet the physiological requirements of her goals but the psychological needs.”
This is an incredibly exciting time, but I am also scared. My health has good days and bad days, and I am known to flake due to being plagued with fatigue. But the reality is I need to have things in my life to help keep my mental mood up as my medications can be incredibly negative.
