The ‘PeeWee‘ App brings ‘Lulu’s Liver Transplant’ to a new audience!

This version of ‘Lucy’s Liver Transplant‘ has been revised to suit a younger audience.

And right now, when a user downloads the ‘Peewee App’, they have access to any three stories on the app for free. So, technically, ‘Lulu’s Liver Transplant’ is free to read, record and share!

On Monday 11th of January 2021 Mindy Hu, creator of the incredible ‘Peewee’ App contacted me to say that ‘Lulu’s Liver Transplant – A Story About Organ Donation’ had been launched online.

Where can you find it?
You can access the story recording directly on the peewee app and here is the link to the website: https://www.peeweeapp.com/lulus-liver-transplant

‘Lulu’s Liver Transplant’ has been a labour of love, and it is the result of a wonderful collaboration with my illustrator Hv Helmut. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring this story to life, and I am thankful to have been here to share it with a new audience.

The concept is simple

  1. Select a story to record, or request to have someone you love to read it to you!
  2. Send as a gift or a memory. The story recording is both of yours to keep forever!
  3. The voice-over can be muted and be read as a digital book when together.

I asked Mindy Hu what her reasoning behind the creation of the ‘Peewee’ app was:

“The idea of ‘Peewee’ sprouted from a simple question: what stories do children grow up reading in different countries?

As the adventurous auntie who’s always travelling, my idea was inspired by the stories I collected along the way, and she wanted to find a way to read them to her nieces who live far away.

‘Peewee’ is on a mission to bring classic stories from around the world into one place, and help authors and illustrators elevate their work digitally.
With ‘Peewee’, you can read a story and send it to family, friends, and loved ones online at any time, from anywhere! To learn more, visit peeweeapp.com

Peewee helps families read together when apart!

Parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends can now come together for storytime and read to their children, grandchildren, or loved ones at any time from anywhere!

Today, more families live further apart from each other, and it can be hard to find the time to see loved ones who live far away. With peewee, you can now take a 5-10 minute break from wherever you are to send a story recording and say I love you easily!

You can find the app here – https://www.peeweeapp.com  on the App or Android Store.
